Young Voters Flooded the Polls
Young people flooded the polls yesterday to pick the next President of the United States. In more than 20 states across the nation, young voters turned out in record-breaking numbers at primaries and caucuses.
We have proven we are a driving force behind the 2008 Presidential election.
According to CNN’s exit polls and the Center for Information & Research on Civic Learning and Engagement (CIRCLE), in nearly every state holding their primary or caucus last night, youth voter turnout increased significantly- doubling, tripling and even quadrupling turnout from 2000 & 2004!
Here are some highlights:
* In Tennessee young voters quadrupled their turnout, up from 35,000 in 2000 to nearly 140,000 young people between the ages of 18-29 casting a vote in last night’s primary.
*In Georgia young voters tripled their turnout with more than 280,000 individuals casting a ballot last night compared to approximately 92,000 ballots cast in 2000.
* In California, more than 850,000 voters under 30 cast ballots, far surpassing 2000 and 2004 levels.
Youth turnout was the winning margin of victory in several states.
*On the Democratic side, Barack Obama won the state of Missouri by just 10,000 votes, propelled to victory by 75,000 young people casting ballots in his favor. And on the Republican side, 45,000 young people voted for Mike Huckabee, far surpassing his 23,000 vote margin of victory.
Clearly the power of our vote is extraordinary and we have the power to shape the political landscape for decades to come.

In 2002, President Bush as the pied piper, lead a group of Senators to vote for the war with Iraq.
The Senators like lemmings were hypnotized by the “weapons of mass destruction” mantra. Forget facts. Forget demands for proof. All Bush had to do was repeat over and over and over again “weapons of mass destruction”, “weapons of mass destruction”, “weapons of mass destruction”, and eventually many of the Senators, like the mice in the tale, went along with Bush’s desires and voted for the war. Senator Hillary Clinton was one of these Senators.
What if Bush had sought marshal law in the USA? What if Bush had sought internment of people in the USA of middle-eastern descent? (Been done once before, don’t forget.) Would the Senators have followed him blindly down that path too? What other erosion of rights and liberties could Bush have talked the Senators into?
How can you place any confidence in Clinton as our President, given how easily she was hypnotized by Bush’s “weapons of mass destruction” mantra?

I thought this needed to be said because it is further proof of how substantative Obama is compared to the fraud Hillary Clinton. I am tired of uninformed voters and HRC campaign posers trying to distort the facts? Please read the following information gathered from the Library of Congress. Feel free to check these records for yourself; better still, read a little more, and try and stay current before posting assinine comments:
Clinton v. Obama on Legislative Experience:
Senator Clinton, who has served only one full term (6yrs.), and another year campaigning, has managed to author and pass into law, (20) twenty pieces of legislation in her first six years. These bills can be found on the website of the Library of Congress (www.thomas.loc.gov), but to save you trouble, I'll post them here for you: 1. Establish the Kate Mullany National Historic Site. 2. Support the goals and ideals of Better Hearing and Speech Month. 3. Recognize the Ellis Island Medal of Honor. 4. Name courthouse after Thurgood Marshall. 5. Name courthouse after James L. Watson. 6. Extend period of unemployment assistance to victims of 9/11. 17. Pay for city projects in response to 9/11 18. Assist landmine victims in other countries. 19. Assist family caregivers in accessing affordable respite care. 20. Designate part of the National Forest System in Puerto Rico as protected in the wilderness preservation system.

Now, I would post those of Obama's, but the list is too substantive, so I'll mainly categorize.
During the first (8) eight months of his elected service he sponsored over 820 bills. He introduced 233 regarding healthcare reform, 125 on poverty and public assistance, 112 crime fighting bills, 97 economic bills, 60 human rights and anti-discrimination bills, 21 ethics reform bills, 15 gun control, 6 veterans affairs and many others. His first year in the U.S. Senate, he authored 152 bills and co-sponsored another 427. These inculded **the Coburn-Obama Government Transparency Act of 2006 (became law), **The Lugar-Obama Nuclear Non-proliferation and Conventional Weapons Threat Reduction Act, (became law), **The Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act, passed the Senate, **The 2007 Government Ethics Bill, (became law), **The Protection Against Excessive Executive Compensation Bill, (In committee), and many more. In all since he entered the U.S. Senate, Senator Obama has written 890 bills and co-sponsored another 1096. An impressive record, for someone who supposedly has no legislative record. . . . My last point: Obama needs name recognition, he needs to be among the people, so people feel like they have access to him. HRC's debate challenge is more about the fact that her campaign is running low on money and she gets free air-time without spending anything. Would you give up the chance to see 20,000 voters up close and personal to be on a televised debate? No way! Obama, stick to your guns. Debate on your terms, not Hillary's! Go Obama 2008!
There is nothing that can be said about Bush that cannot be said about Obama or Clinton.

2. All Talk. each of the three knows how to get people on their side. in some cases is poorly executed speaches with messages of terror. on the other cases, it's greatly delivered messages of boring sophomore rhetoric.
